I'm Dr. Aaron Ganci, a design researcher, UI designer, and Professor in the Visual Communication Design department at Indiana University's Herron School of Art +Design. I study the use of design to improve experiences around health, wellbeing, and equity and teach a broad range of courses in graphic, interface, and experience design. During the 2026-27 academic year, I am serving as the Interim Dean of Herron and am excited to do what I can to help the school achieve is mission. I hold an MFA in Design Development from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in American Studies (with a doctoral minor in Human Computer Interaction Theory) from Indiana University, Indianapolis. I am based in Indianapolis, IN.
